There are four golf Majors: The British Open, The US Open, The PGA, and The Masters. Getting tickets to see a real golf tournament is a once in a life time treat!

British Open1860www.opengolf.comThe first Open Championship was started by Prestwick Golf Club. The first tournament was only for professionals by invitation only. The next year it was opened for Amateurs as well. It is not until 1863 that a cash prize is introduced.
US Open1895www.usopen.comHeld by the United States Golf Association each June, scheduled so that the final round is played on the 3rd Sunday. Open to any professional, or any amateur with a current USGA Handicap Index of 1.4 or better.
US PGA1916www.pga.comInitiated by Rodman Wanamaker and first held at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, New York. Initially a match play event, changed to a stroke play format in 1958.
Masters1934www.masters.orgOriginally called the Augusta National Invitation Tournament, formed by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts
